*Disqualified themselves because they took a wrong turn even though both of the runners finished the race.
Letter to the Editor (6-12-2007)
I would like to thank runners of the Bula Marathon for their participation. This years Men’s winner was Scott Gill, son of Don Gill. The female runner winner was Tina Fuller. Both are from Ashtabula. The oldest runner trophy went to Ken Warrender of Masury, Ohio. He is sixty-two. Don Gill was unable to run this year because of medical problems. I would like to thank him for all the help he gave me during the Bula Marathon and I hope he will be running next year.
I would also like to thank the vendors who donated extra nice prizes for the runners. All runners received a prize provided that they stuck around for the awards ceremony right after the race. The beautiful trophies came from Playall Awards Engraving & Giftware as they have for the past seven years. The vendors that donated prizes were as follows; Bob Evan’s, Casa Capelli, Defina’s at the Harbor, Furniture Towne, The Ivy Rose. Out Door Army-Navy Store, Red Lobster, the Star-Beacon, www.tnttrader.com and last but hopefully not least, myself.
